When I described this photo to my dad, he told me this: when the workers leave, they unlock the rotation axis of the cranes because if it was locked, the wind would pose a threat to the cranes and they could tumble in a storm. Thus, they are left unlocked and are turned by the wind into the direction that poses the least wind resistance. That's why they are all pointing in the same direction. Pretty clever actually.

Und hier hat diese Vorsicht zu einenm feinen Wiederholungseffekt geführt.
Zudem farblich sehr plakativ, zumindest im Vordergrund.
